I am a writer and award-winning editor specialising in helping non-profits and mission driven organisations bring their publications to life. I am especially passionate about helping organisations with a focus on nature, wildlife and the environment.

Copywriting
If words aren’t your thing or you simply need someone to step in and fill that blank page, I can help! I received formal training in copywriting from the Blackford Centre, but I also have ten years experience (in house and freelance) writing a range of copy, both online and in print.
I’ve written press releases and magazine articles for the construction industry, social media copy for a university, website copy and promotional brochures for environmental non-profits, and news and feature articles for churches. I’m friendly, punctual and versatile. I always take the time to listen to my clients and I can adapt my writing style to suit your needs.
Take a look at some of my copywriting work in my portfolio and see what others have to say about working with me. When you’re ready for your no-obligation quote, contact me.
Editing
I have training in all levels of editing from the Toronto Metropolitan University, including proofreading, copy and stylistic editing, and structural editing.
What does that mean? Essentially, editing needs can range from the big picture (structural), through paragraph and sentence level edits (copy and stylistic), to checking for spelling and grammatical errors (proofeading). It’s a bit more complicated than that, but I like to keep things simple for my clients. Tell me about your project, share a sample with me, and I’ll provide you with a no-obligation quote outlining which services you might need.
I have applied my editing skills throughout my ten years of experience working in communications. I’ve edited political science blogs. I’ve edited website copy, brochures and leaflets, annual reports, and funding bids for environmental non-profits. And I’ve edited news articles for churches.
Take a look at some of my editing work in my portfolio and see what others have to say about working with me. When you’re ready for your no-obligation quote, contact me.
Publications co-ordination
I apply my copywriting and editing skills in my work as a publications co-ordinator. If you need someone to project manage your publication from the creative brief to the printer, I can help with that.
What does a publications co-ordinator do exactly? Anything and everything needed to bring your publication to life, including: outlining the target audience and scope of the project (creative brief), managing the budget, writing and editing copy, sourcing photographs, and working with graphic designers (design and layout) and printers.
As a communications officer for environmental non-profits, I saw many digital and print materials from idea to completion, including websites (I launched two in WordPress), infographics, promotional brochures, project leaflets, and annual reports. I continue to do this work in my roles as editor of literary magazine Stonecrop Review and digital newspaper Faith Tides. See my portfolio for more information.
I’m experienced, highly organised, and reliable. But don’t just take my word for it, see what others have to say about working with me. When you’re ready for your no-obligation quote, contact me.
